These highly instrumented facilities are designed for the development and validation of high-temperature kinetic models.

Heated, 52 mm in diameter and 7.5 m long

38.4 mm in diameter and 3.5 m long

78.4 mm diameter and 9 m long


* Several impact tubes of different lengths and diameters,
* Stainless steel and Pyrex,
* Pmax = 5 MPa / 6 MPa,
* Tinitial, max from 298 K to 403 K.


* Pressure sensors,
* Viewing windows,
* Sampling valve coupled to the shock tube.

* Emission, Absorption,
* LASER extinction and diffusion,
* Atomic Resonance Absorption Spectrophotometry,
